Ayurveda
is an ancient science and way of life from present day India (Bharat), handed down generation to generation for thousands of years by teachers, seers, and lineage holders. ‘Ayur’ means life and ‘veda’ means knowledge. When one learns the art of balancing oneself within one’s environment, true health is established. Ayurveda teaches us to understand the elements around and inside of us, and awakens us within an awareness to navigate all that comes with grace.
Ayurveda is a health system which focuses on empowering the individual to learn and master the tools necessary to heal themselves over time. Ayurveda is a remembering of our innate ability to heal and be healed, to live in harmony, grace, and with joy in every moment.

“Lord Brahma, remembering Ayurveda, taught it to Prajapathi, who taught it to the Ashvini twins. They taught it to Lord Indra, and he taught it to Atri’s son (Atreya Punarvasu), and other sages taught it to Agnivesha and others. Each of them then separately taught Ayurveda.”
The Doshas:
VATA = Air + Ether
PITTA = Fire + Water
KAPHA = Earth + Water
Each of us have a unique constitution made up of these elements consolidated in the doshas. This constitution is established before birth, and when activated, allows us to operate in our highest power. Our internal and external environments are always changing, providing constant need to dance in awareness with these shifts in order to maintain balance. When we tap into and seek to understand nature, we understand our unique place in the greater tapestry of existence. There is a great peace that exists, beyond every struggle we face, and with this awareness, we heal.
