***Special day on Thursday - Festa do Bonfim Lavagem, spiritual celebration and festival - long walk from old city to Bonfim Church and observation of the washing of the steps of Bonfim

No dance classes but we can go out dancing!

Katrina fell in love with
Afro-Brazilian dance while living in Salvador in 2011. She took her first classes with Rosangela Silvestre and Vera Passos at FUNCEB in January 2011 and has been studying with both of them through the years in the US and Brazil. Since 2012 she has been studying and teaching yoga. In 2025 she graduated as an Ayurvedic Doctor from the Ayurvedic Institute under Dr. Vasant Lad. She has incorporated Ayurvedic principles and yoga into her study of dance over the years, aligning with the teachings of the elements in Silvestre technique and the aspects of nature represented in Orixa dance. She is excited to share and explore these intersections of ancient embodiment with you in Salvador, one of her favorite places on earth.

Deposit - $500 due November 15th

First Installment - $500 due December 1st

Final payment - $850 due December 15th
